Associate Professor
Beckman Research Institute, City of Hope

Dr. Dustin E. Schones in an Associate Professor at City of Hope. He carried out his graduate training at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory developing computational methods to analyze gene regulation and applying these methods to investigate transcriptional networks in adipogenesis.  He then carried out postdoctoral training at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute of the NIH where he developed some of the first computational methods for analyzing next-generation sequencing data.  Since joining the City of Hope, his lab has been interested in epigenetics and the role of chromatin in gene regulation in a variety of systems.
